YOGI DADA is a “Dadaist,” believing, “Art is whatever you believe it is.” Her Mother started her in the visual and performing arts. Yogi completed her formal education in 1995 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Yogi graduated feeling discouraged as an Artist, she stopped painting and became an Optician. By her mother’s prayers, she began painting again in 2008. Her Mother transitioned from breast cancer in 2009. Amid depression, Yogi picked up her brush
and hand painted a large set of funky, wooden earrings that would later become known as “Dadas”. Everywhere she went people asked, “Where did you get those earrings?!” By 2012 YOGI DADA LLC was established and the brand took off! Since then, her earrings have been worn by multiple celebrities and have been hailed by her clients to make them “feel good”.
