Lee is a Birmingham native and graduate of Samford University. She enjoys drawing creative inspiration from the love of nature and angels, inspired by her beloved grandparents. Birds and flowers particularly remind her of Gertrude Hosmer, Lee’s maternal grandmother and angels of Susie Anderson, her paternal grandmother.
She enjoys clay methods of hand building, sculpture and the wheel. Lee enjoys embellishing pieces with nature such as adding sculpted flowers, bees and butterflies. She likes to create pieces that can offer different views throughout the year, like a vase, container or bowl that can be turned throughout the year for a different view of flowers and colors. Many customers refer to these pieces as their “statement piece” to display in their home. Lee believes art is therapeutic-whether you are creating pieces; purchasing for a gift or to add in your office or home, art can lift us up. Lee shares her life with her beloved cats and dog and supports local animal shelters and rescues.
