Meet Aunt Deb & Nicole; the artists behind Tangerinas
Aunt Deb and Nicole are an aunt/niece team who started Tangerinas in Aunt Deb’s garage in 2006. It started out with this duo repurposing scavenged and recycled materials and furniture for themselves. It quickly blossomed into what we all know now as Tangerinas. Tangerinas made its debut at the Chattanooga Market where they introduced Chattanoogans to a new way of re-purposing with words made from different scavenged materials that have been attached to cabinet doors , barn wood & reclaimed lumber . Both Aunt Deb and Nicole love what they do and it shows! In August 2009, Tangerinas opened up a store front on the NorthShore in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This unique store not only has their one of a kind pieces for sale but also boasts a live workshop where the art is actually created! If you hear laughter, power tools, and smell paint you know they are near. This lively duo is a treat to meet and travels around introducing other communities to their artwork.
