Say Luv Studio is the creative practice of spirited multi-media artist and designer Jackie Kim who has a penchant for seeking beauty and inspiration in the every day. She finds every creative decision is an opportunity to explore and express a message whether sublime or subliminal in thought. Annie Dillard in her book Pilgrim at Tinker Creek said, “Beauty and grace are performed whether or not we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there.” Her art is about being here and noticing the details of her experience; capturing moments of beauty and grace; and finding creative forms for the subliminal, the divine, the magic! From computer graphics to photography, and painting to textile arts like quilting and embroidery, Jackie is a versatile artist and designer. She has been experimenting with natural materials and ingredients from plant dyes to natural fibers and inks. She believes the natural world is a source of great inspiration as she learns to listen to the wisdom of the earth.
