Sarah Barr | Studio SB

Sarah Barr was born and raised in Huntsville, and now works as an architect in the Birmingham area. She started taking art lessons at a young age, dabbling in drawing, acrylic, watercolor, and ceramics before settling on oil as her preferred medium during a painting class at Auburn University. Following graduation, Sarah took several workshops and lessons from local Alabama artists, where she discovered her love of painting flowers for brightness and joy they bring to a room. The majority of her paintings are done from life, with the occasional subject from a photograph. Always an avid traveler, Sarah is now beginning to explore painting landscapes so she can capture the views and spirit of the places she visits, and those closer to home. Sarah began selling her paintings at markets and festivals in May of 2024 under the vendor name Studio SB, and is a member of the Mountain Brook Arts Association.
