We are, Robert and Mary, a family owned design/artist team working in the area of ceramic functional art. All our work is handmade wheel thrown on the potters wheel, then altered and glazed. Our story starts over 9 years ago with the idea of teaching students the skill of throwing on the wheel. That did not pan out, but it sparked a greater interest to produce handmade functional art for everyday use. Today we throw over 3500 lbs of stoneware clay a year, mix our own glazes, and fire 2 kilns to cone 6. We love attending the art festivals and shows and meeting new people. When not working in clay, we both work in the education field full-time.
