Micah Althea Briggs, founder of 4XA, is a Visual Artist based in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a fine artist specializing in painting and has been a traveling and exhibiting artist for nearly ten years. Throughout life, and particularly during her time at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, art was how she interrogated, reinterpreted, and made sense of the world around her. Rooted between surrealism and magical realism, her work often draws on personal narratives, cultural memory, and symbolic imagery. Deeply inspired by botany, nature, and generational healing practices, she infuses her art with organic forms, natural symbolism, and motifs that explore restoration, balance, and the interconnectedness of all living things.
