Melissa is an artist and elementary art teacher in Alabaster, Alabama. She spends her days sharing the joy of art with students and her nights coaxing her own children to paint with her. She enjoys all forms of making, but painting is her passion.
When Melissa isn’t creating her own artwork, she is daydreaming of opening an inclusive art studio and gallery for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Her youngest child, Max, was born with a surprise diagnosis of Down syndrome. His diagnosis strengthened her belief that art connects us all and that art is for everyone.
