Lynn Briggs

I grew up in Birmingham, AL and still reside here. As a child I enjoyed painting and majored in art in high school. I began my college major in commercial art but later changed to education. I currently paint once a week with watercolor with the Vine Street artists. I am a member of Mountain Brook Art Association where I have served as President and parliamentarian. Some of my artist activities in the past were Watercolor Society of Alabama where I exhibited paintings in their juried state show.I have participated in the Mountain Brook art show since 2007 where I received a best in show semi professional in 2015 and 2013. I also received the Nortons Florist Award in 2013 and 2015, and an honorable mention in 2009. I participated in the juried Energen Show while it was here in Birmingham. I have displayed my paintings at St. Vincents Hospital for a juried program also.

I love to paint things from my yard and from travels we have taken over the years. All in all painting is just a fun way to spend my spare time.
