I love clay for its simply organic composition. After over twenty years of working with clay i feel as though my exploration of the medium is just beginning. My work is inspired and derived from my love of texture, asymmetry, imperfection, and color, transforming the clay body into something of beauty and function. Through my art i hope to create works that nourish the soul, engage the senses, enhance the visual aesthetics of ones culinary experience, and of course cultivate conversation.
I use textiles to transfer texture onto the clay, glazes to color the pottery and all of my work is slab built or wheel thrown.
