My name is Grant Gannon and I operate a boutique woodworking shop in Cahaba Heights, Alabama. There’s a saying I once heard: “What I build is for others; why I build is for me.” This resonates deeply with me. Woodworking offers me the unique satisfaction of creating tangible items, a gratification few find in their primary profession. While I incorporate machinery in my process, no product I craft is purely machine-made. My hands are integral to every phase, from selecting sustainably-sourced domestic and exotic hardwoods to the meticulous processes of milling, cutting, shaping, sanding, and finishing. My hope is that my creations bring as much joy to your home as they brought me during their creation. My primary emphasis is on crafting home goods that merge aesthetic appeal with functionality, suitable for display and use in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, or office.
