My glassing career began apprenticing with a local artist where I learned to meld Old World stained and leaded glass techniques with new generation warm glass and mosaics, giving glass art a new dimension. I utilize my immediate surroundings for inspiration, capturing the brilliant colors of nature using glass fusion. Be they sunflowers dancing in the wind, butterflies basking on a flower, or turtles swimming by, I attempt to capture garden and beach scenes using modern fusing techniques. Sunflowers are portrayed in many of my pieces where I use abstract views and rich hues to convey their beauty; each piece being handmade and one of a kind.
