In the words of David Edwards:
My ceramic work, vessel or sculptural, is primarily about having voluminous full forms that are heavily glazed in an almost abstract expressionist manner. The forms are a static, clean, and hopefully graceful canvas for a busier, eclectic, and rich surface. My pieces are typically fired multiple times at different temperatures and atmospheres to build up the complexity and/or subtlety I desire in glazes. There is a lot of serendipity and angle grinding involved before each work tells me it’s done or re-fired into oblivion. My only pre-requisites or forethoughts are the form of the vessel and color palette.

Bio
I am a ceramic artist living and working in Madison County Alabama. I went to undergraduate school at UA Huntsville and earned a B.A. in Studio Art and then to the University of Alabama for a M.A. in Ceramics. I teach art on occasion at Calhoun Community College and Athens State University, but mostly spend my time making art and then selling it at art festivals and galleries. Any other free time is devoted to Sci-fi and Fantasy books, shows, and movies.
