2025 Featured Artist – Inés Oriheula

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that Hoover, Alabama’s Inés Orihuela has been selected as the Poster Artist of the 20th annual Moss Rock Festival (MRF).

Inés work, especially her most recent series of animal portraiture, reinforces MRF’s passion for, admiration of, fascination with, and respect of nature. Plus, her paintings fit seamlessly into MRF’s wildlife poster series, which in 2013 kicked off with “Dwarf Rabbit on Pink”, an iconic piece by Birmingham artist Susan Shoemaker. Even though the interpretation of Inés’ animal muses can be whimsical and humorous, which give them great personality, they are also strong, bold, proud, and endearing. We are captivated by the way she brings out their character, soul, and beauty in a highly detailed, graphic style all her own, often framing and presenting her subjects as if they are nobility. In many ways, they are exactly that.

We hope you’ll join us November 1-2, 2025 at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex in Hoover, Alabama as we mark this momentous milestone with a double decade festival production exploring MRF’s pillars of Art + Design, Nature, Smart Living and eco-creativity.
