24 Poster Art + Design

Did you catch our kick off announcement last week? We unveiled Moss Rock Festival’s (MRF) Featured Artists selection. If you missed it, here is a link to that post.

And now, it’s time for the BIG REVEAL of the 19th annual Poster!

As we began the conversation about the poster’s featured art with Bendy Knees Design, Levi and Jordan loved the idea of working with us to create a piece especially for the Fall Festival. Some of our favorite poster designs have been created this way including those featuring Yvonne Miller & Stefan Hochhuber (2021), Tracie Noles-Ross (2017), Paul Wilm (2016), Chiharu Roach (2015), and Darrell Ezekiel (2014). So, we were all in on a collaborative approach!

One of Levi and Jordan’s in process studio paintings (below) especially grabbed our attention. It exuded a feeling of a meandering, connective, abstract, watery landscape.

It was serendipity! Why? Because in Festival planning meetings over the summer with local nature partners, the topic of Alabama waterways, their flora & fauna, and the native wildlife they support kept rising to the top. This piece by Levi and Jordan just felt right and synergistic. It became the inspiration for the final poster artwork they created.
