As we enter Moss Rock Festival’s 16th year, we’re excited to announce that our logo and brand identity are getting a new look in 2021!

You got a taste of the new M design last fall during Moss Magic, a fall fusion festival weekend that brought together the artists of Moss Rock Festival (MRF) and Magic City Art Connection (MCAC) for the first time on November 7-8, 2020. The M, designed by Scott Miller of Miller Communications, Inc., became a shared logo symbol for the fall and spring festivals. Both are projects of the Foundation for Arts and Cultural Connections, Inc / FAB (Find Art Birmingham), a 501c3 non-profit.

We fell instantly in love with the new design and its possibilities. The M was dynamic, impactful, and modern. It had great presence. And it was so well received that soon discussions started about it continuing as a shared symbol for the 2 festivals, but having each M design boast its own unique look. The original M from Moss Magic became the new brand identity for the 38th MCAC, which took place at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark on April 23-25, 2021. For MRF’s version, Scott Miller infused some of the fall festival’s brand coloring to make it distinctly Moss Rock Festival. We look forward to showing it off as we approach the 16th annual weekend November 6-7.

PS – Stay tuned for our next BIG announcement the week of August 16. We are revealing MRF’s 2021 Featured Artists!
