Vecchia Building

Vecchia means old or seasoned when translated from Italian to English. The new pizzzeria & mercato located at The Preserve neighborhood in Hoover chose the name Vecchia because it represents their approach to the art of pizza making.

From their hand-made brick ovens imported directly from Italy to the way they toss the dough fresh each morning, they believe that the old ways are still the best ways.

Being inpired by the old world not only drives the restaurant’s approach to food, but it also connects to their belief in supporting community and family. Moss Rock Festival (MRF) is proud to have Vecchia Pizzeria & Mercato join the eco-creative festival as a sponsor in 2014. Visitors will be able to experience Vecchia on many culinary levels this year at some of MRF’s favorite tasting spopts like the Cafe by the Woods, Beer Garden, and The Sweetery.

Vecchia Tap Handles

Because of the premium selection of craft beers Vecchia carries at the restaurant, we thought Beer Garden would be a great place for them to show off some great craft brews they carry alongside tasty, Italian-inspired Vechhia bites like their House-Made Italian Sausage Sliders with peppers & onions and Rigatoni Marinara with fresh basil.

At Cafe by the Woods, taste Vecchia’s lasagna and pastas, paninis, and more.

At The Sweetery, try Vecchia’s Italian Kisses – creamy Nutella, nestled inside crunchy pastry cups and sprinkled with pistachio nuts. Then visit The Sweetery Shoppe in Booth 230A on the Yellow Artist Row to pick up some of their fresh made Italian pastries to take home. We recommend the cannolis.

Before you leave the festival, be sure to enter to win some of Vecchia’s great giveaways:

  • Private dinners serving up to 10 people (4)
  • Learn Italian Classes (5)
  • more!
