Moss Rock Festival’s
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT BLOG SERIES:

Butch Ogelsby, Photography

What artists have influenced you?

The great photographers of the past such as, Edward Weston, Edward Steichen and

What exposure to art as a child influenced your career path?

There were not real influences for me as a child other than in elementary school one teacher encouraged me to continue drawing, etc.

As an artist, we know you create. But what style of work do you like to collect? Do you have a favorite piece that you must glance at on a daily basis?

I love to collect paintings by artists I know personally.  Each piece of art or photography in my home has a meaning to me and my family.  My favorites that I admire each day are the photographs I have taken of my grandchildren.

What kind of work will you be exhibiting for sale at Moss Rock Festival and how was it inspired by nature?

I will be exhibiting photos from my walks through the Boulder Field at Moss Rock, local images of the Alabama Theatre, Lyric Theatre and places I have visited in Europe as well.

How can people find out more about you?

Visit our website at www.bluemoonstudios.net and click on the “Art” tab.  The Blue Phrog in Montevallo currently has several of our pieces on display for sale.
